We have blue silk evening dresses for mothers of the bride. This sample was made with a silk charmeuse fabric. To recreate this same dress in the same fabric would cost much more today due to the fabric cost. A man made fabrication would cost much less. We could still use a charmeuse however it would be a polyester charmeuse. This design comes with a long sleeve jacket for the mother of the bride. It can be made in a wrist or 3/4 length style. You will see that there is intricate beading on the jacket and inside portion of the dress near the arm hole. All of the beads were sewn on by hand (not a machine).
